During the winter of 2022, I wrote a collection of short stories that explore themes of loneliness. One of those stories became 'I am the Quiet One that Waits in the Dark'. Inspired by a poem I wrote as a child, I told the story from the perspective of an entity that revels in deep darkness and forgotten memories.
